Letter to Patients

We have been keeping a close watch on the situation with respects to the Coronavirus pandemic and making week by week assessments on the safety of dentistry and the guidance and regulations that come from various dental bodies (see below)

Whilst we have been temporarily closed there have been a few Urgent Dental Care Centres that the NHS has provided for emergency dental care. Fortunately, we have only had a handful of emergencies at our practice and all these patients have been managed with Advice, Analgesics, and Antibiotics where necessary.

Whilst we make plans to re-open, we must still put the interests and safety of staff and patients as a top priority. We will need to screen patients, and assess the urgency of the dental treatment. We also need to ensure that we have appropriate stock levels of good quality PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

Due to the proximity of patients to dental staff, and the types of procedures that we undertake, we require the highest levels of PPE, and are upgrading the facility with new equipment to ensure the highest protection to all in a dental surgery setting.

You can be assured that when we open, we will be a very safe place to have dental treatment.

Towards the end of June 2020, we will be in contact with patients who are in most need of dental care (Urgent List), and then we aim to expand to more routine dental treatments in July 2020.
